CNC Routers are a highly versatile option when it comes to machinery choice.  Maybe the information below will help you realise why you should use a cnc router in your business.

A CNC or computer numerical control router (it’s full Sunday name) can be a fantastic time saver for anyone looking to produce items at speed and without the need for hand crafted techniques.

A CNC router will produce consistent and high-quality output that will significantly increase production from more manual methods of manufacture. Unlike a jig router, the CNC router can produce a one-off as effectively as repeated identical production. Automation and precision are the key benefits of cnc router tables.

The problem with anything that is handmade, tolerences – with a good CNC router you get the same output everytime, the machine will not tire like their human counterpart would.

What can you cut and process on a CNC?

cutting various hard materials, such as wood, composites, aluminium, steel, plastics, and foams is an absolute breeze on a good CNC machine.

Manufacture and make highly detailed door carvings, moulds from various materials, wooden panels, signs, kitchens, cabinets, worktops, corian worktops, musical instruments, furniture, parts for fabrication, plylining and a whole lot more.

What you want to do with a CNC may ultimately rely on the bed size, the bigger the bed the bigger the material you can cut.  This could also mean you can get more of your products in one processing run than you would with a very small bed size.

CNC routers come with some very specific components such as the gantry which houses the spindle and Z axis motor for up and down movement.  The gantry will also house your X Y motors for movement on a horizontal plane around the bed.  Most router machines will have both T-slot clamping and vacuum bed as a way of holding the material down, if yours has a vacuum bed you would also have vacuum pumps to do all the heavy suction work to do so.

What Type Of CNC?

CNC routers can come in various configurations and types.  They can come in formats such as 3 axis, 4 axis, PTP tables and come with aggregate heads and rotary devices.

You have machines that are T-slot clamp beds only or both T-slot and vacuum which means you dont have to continually clamp your material down, the vacuum will hold it.  Some of our models even come with Quick Release spindles that make your manual tool change CNC router a breeze to change tooling.

If you are looking to upgrade from a manual tool change or require your tools to be changed without operator intervention then an Auto Tool Change CNC Router would be beneficial.  These generally have servo drives and high performance spindles such as those from HSD in Italy.
